Never have I ever questions for adults, kept clean
These never have I ever questions for adults are about the parts of life that only show up once you have a job, a lease and a calendar. Missed flights, late bills, reply all mistakes, flat tires, the first holiday dinner you cooked yourself. The deck has 74 prompts, and every one is clean enough to read out at a work event or with your in-laws in the room. The fun comes from the stories, not from shock value.
Example cards: “Never have I ever slept in an airport.” and “Never have I ever talked for a full minute on a call while muted.”
How to run a round
- Give everyone ten fingers, ten tokens or a score sheet.
- Press Next (or the space bar or right arrow key) to draw a card.
- Read it out. Anyone for whom it is true drops a finger, hands over a token or marks a point.
- Ask one person to tell the story behind it, then draw the next card.
Previous steps back one card. The Seen so far list shows every prompt from this game, and Start over reshuffles the whole set. No card repeats until all 74 are used.
What the prompts cover
- Work. Meetings, night shifts, promotions, raises, slippers on a video call, calling a boss by the wrong name.
- Money. Budgets, taxes, sale purchases, the bill you decided to open tomorrow.
- Travel. Lost luggage, solo trips abroad, ten hour drives, running out of gas.
- Home. Flat pack furniture, leaky faucets, smoke alarms, houseplants that did not make it.
- Family and dating. Diapers, bedtime stories, blind dates, meeting a partner through friends.
Where adults play it
Team socials and offsites
It is a low pressure icebreaker. Use points instead of fingers on a video call: people type a 1 in the chat when a card is true for them.
Dinner parties
Play between courses. Ten cards is about right before people start trading longer stories.
Reunions
Old friends find out what everyone has been up to since school, one prompt at a time.
Game night with friends
Use tokens such as poker chips or coins. The last person holding a chip picks the next game.
Ground rules that keep it friendly
Let anyone pass on a card without explaining why. Money and dating cards can land differently for different people, so keep the tone curious, not pushy. If a prompt is true for nobody, just draw again.
Fair shuffle, nothing to install
